Austrian Society for American Studies

The Austrian Association for American Studies - ger .: Austrian Association for American Studies (AAAS) - Founded in 1975, the American studies at Austrian to establish universities and other academic institutions and intensify. Since then, the company has been promoting research activities and plans by researchers in Austria, offering a network for the exchange of ideas and information, and maintaining global contacts with similar organizations. The AAAS is a member of the European Association of American Studies .

The Austria's Young Americanists (AYA) emerged from the AAAS in 2007, under the umbrella of which Austrian Americanists network in earlier career stages.
