Rakke was a rural municipality in the Estonian district of Lääne-Viru with an area of 226 km². It had 1,820 inhabitants (January 1, 2011).
In addition to the main town of Rakke (1190 inhabitants), the municipality also included the villages of Ao (German: Hageweide ), Emumäe, Lammasküla, Lasinurme, Liigvalla ( Löwenwolde ), Piibe ( Piep ), Salla ( Sall ) and Tammiku. It is about 130 km from Tallinn and 32 km from Jõgeva .
The manor houses of Lammasküla, Liigvalla, Piibe, Salla and Tammiku are worth seeing.
