The Austrian Judo Association (ÖJV) is the national association for judo in Austria . The Austrian Judo Association is a member of the European Judo Union (EJU) based in Geneva and the International Judo Federation (IJF). The ÖJV is based in Vienna .

history

On September 30, 1947, it was decided to found their own judo association. On December 2, 1947, the Vienna Security Directorate issued a decision to form the “Austrian Amateur Judo Association (ÖAJV)” . At the beginning of 1948 the newly founded association officially started its activities.

On January 9, 1958, the name of the association was officially changed to the Austrian Judo Association (ÖJV) .
