Austrian State Prize for Art Criticism

The State Prize for Art Criticism is a State Prize of the Republic of Austria , which is awarded every two years for outstanding contributions in the field of art criticism .

The award particularly honors reviews and articles in specialist journals and exhibition catalogs, monographs and in the features section. It was first awarded in July 2017 and is endowed with 10,000 euros. The nominations for the State Prize are made by a five-member jury. In addition to the actual State Prize for Art Criticism , the State Prize also awards art critic grants and publishing grants for art criticism.
