Transfer range

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The transfer range describes the maximum range of an aircraft without payload and armament, if possible with additional tanks .

As a rule, this is only important for transfer flights (hence the name), for example when the machines are delivered from the factory to the buyer or to bring an aircraft to a designated place of use or departure airport. As far as possible, transfer flights are usually avoided, as these cause operating costs (fuel, crew ) without these costs being covered by freight charges or passengers.
