Hold up alarm

A panic alarm is a form of an alarm after a robbery ( robbery , extortion , threat ) leading to an alerting the police ( Zivilstreife ) and / or a security service leads (alarm tracking). The aim of the alert is to end the dangerous situation and arrest the perpetrator or perpetrators .

It is triggered by a hold-up alarm system. Hold-up alarms are partially silent alarms for tactical reasons , ie they cannot be heard acoustically or visually in the room or building. The police operations center checked immediately after emergence by (telephonic) callback, whether it is a true or a false is alarm.

However, there are also pocket-sized devices (also known as “personal alarm devices”, small mobile alarms, shrill alarms or personal alarms) that the attacked can carry with them. Upon request, these trigger a high-pitched alarm to draw attention to the crime. However, as with the stationary alarms, there is usually no automatic notification.
