Bundeswehr trainer

The Bundeswehr trainer is a qualification as a sports instructor within the Bundeswehr and has replaced the "sports director" qualification since 2000.

From 2000, the training to become a sports director was replaced by the Bundeswehr trainer. After a transitional phase, the ZDv 3/10 Sport in the Bundeswehr only provides for the Bw trainer to carry out service sport .

The trainers are trained in close cooperation with the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). The training takes place u. a. at the sports school of the Bundeswehr . The training is intended to enable the soldiers to carry out sports training in mass sports . Officers and NCOs with and without portepee are trained as trainers. The qualification is carried out by the sports instructor troop of the state commandos (former military area command ) and is valid for a maximum of four years.

The superordinate qualification is the specialist sports manager .
