The Ýyldyz (German: Stern ) is a luxury hotel in the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat .

building

The hotel building was built by the French construction company Bouygues on behalf of the Turkmen President . It's located a little bit out of the city center in the south of the city. Due to the foothills of the Kopet Dag Mountains there , the building is elevated and offers a beautiful view of Ashgabat and the surrounding area. The building itself is 107 meters high and has 19 floors. The curved shape of the modern building is intended to be reminiscent of a spaceship. To make the Ýyldyz more accessible, a new expressway was built, and a large, wide roundabout was laid out around the hotel.

At the opening of the building on October 15, 2013, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow was personally present and cut the symbolic ribbon for the official opening of Yyldyz.

Furnishing

The Ýyldyz has a total of 155 rooms, ranging from a standard room to a presidential suite. The hotel has a spa area , a bar and a restaurant on the 18th and 19th floors, several conference rooms with space for up to 600 participants, a fitness center, a tennis court and a swimming pool.
