Československý šach

Československý šach is a monthly Czech chess magazine . It was founded in 1896 and was for a time the official organ of the Czech and Czechoslovak Chess Federation.

Names

The magazine was kept under different names from 1896 to 1926 until it came to the name Československý šach , which is still used today . During the occupation between 1939 and 1945 it appeared without the word Československý (German: Czechoslovakian ) in the Reich Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . Since 1969 there was a supplementary supplement Šachové umění (not specifically listed in the table) for a while .

Employee

The magazine's staff were initially Josef Pospíšil and Karel Traxler , while Jan Kotrč was the main person responsible for drawing. During its existence the magazine had many prominent employees in the chess world. Today's editor is the international master Ivan Hausner .
