Bercik
Hubert Dworniok (Bercik), played by Krzysztof Hanke , is the main character of the series, Andzia's husband and Zbyszek's friend. It is said that he is the greatest psychopath in all of Silesia . Often his ideas cause problems and trouble. Bercik claims that he is a miner. He was indeed a miner in the past, but when the mine closed he retired. He loves beer, and he often drinks it in the “Bar bei Alojz”. He doesn't like anything connected with Sosnowitz and Warsaw . He is too trusting towards strangers by saying his apartment address: "Hubert Dworniok, Korfantstraße 13/6". He hates his brother-in-law Ernest very much; he claims that his brother-in-law is not part of the family. Whenever Ernest tells him something about his business, Bercik wants to work immediately, and he inadvertently destroys everything. Ernest calls him a "bad luck bringer".
Zbyszek
Zbigniew Pyciakowski (Zbyszek), played by Zbigniew Buczkowski , is Bercik's colleague from a war army, where he worked as a mechanic. He is from Warsaw ; at the weekend he takes the train to Katowitz to Bercik and spends his free time there. He sometimes has a stand on the Katowice market square and sells his specialties. He often had girlfriends in the previous episodes, but he quickly lost them. In the final episode, it turns out that Zbyszek has a son named Grzesziu.
Andzia
Anna Dworniok (Andzia), played by Joanna Bartel , is Bercik's wife, she used to work in Cologne . She works a lot and doesn't like the drunkenness. At first she didn't like Zbyszek, but after a while this changed. She often forbids Bercik to go to the “Bar at Alojz”, but he always finds an excuse. Andzia is Ernest's sister. She has a friend, Krysia, and Andzia only goes to her when she's fed up with Bercik.
Ernest
Ernest Kowolik, played by Józef Polok , is Andzia's brother, Bercik's brother-in-law, whom he does not like and describes as a “bad luck bringer”. Whenever Ernest starts a new business, Bercik interferes and pretends he loves Ernest and would like to work. Bercik pursues him, even if it never works out, looking for opportunities to become the boss or at least a worker. Ernest first appeared in the first episode of season 2 and then in one of the final episodes of season 9. Because of Józef Polok's death, the character Ernest had to be removed from the series.
Alojz
Alojz, played by Grzegorz Stasiak , is the owner of the “Bar bei Alojz”. He took it over from his father, who was also called Alojz. Bercik and his colleagues are his regular customers, often the only customers. Ernest renovated his bar.
Kipuś
Kipa Kipuś, played by Andrzej Mrozek , is Bercik's fat, bald colleague. He is a regular customer of the “Bar bei Alojz”. He used to be a flamenco teacher and later worked as a masseur for Ernest. His learned profession is a seaman. His father is called Jorguś Kiper.
Gerard
Gerard Nowak, played by Bogdan Kalus , is Bercik's colleague. He is married. He often spends all his money at Alojz, which is why he asks Bercik for a traditional "fiver for beer". After drinking a couple of beers, he becomes a philosopher. He knows a lot of people; therefore he helps Bercik in his business. He spent half a year in a prison trading cars. He claims he spent the time in a sanatorium. He was in several prisons.
Johnny
Janusz, Jan Popczyk, for friends also Johnny, played by Paweł Polok , was a postman who did not have it easy: Bercik always greeted him with his pistol; every postman is afraid of Bercik. Later, Johnny dares to be the only postman to visit Bercik. In season 10, Johnny is no longer a postman, but instead a businessman.
Karlikowa
Karlikowa, played by Gertruda Szalsza , is the neighbor of the Dwornioks. She is often cheerful and known for her jokes. She has a husband, Karlik. Before the wedding, she was a stripteaser . She goes to church every day and knows the pastor well. She likes Andzia's brother Ernest, whom she describes as a male role model. Because of the death of the actress, she only appeared up to season 9, like Ernest.
Karlik
Karlik, played by Ryszard Opyda , is the neighbor of the Dwornioks, Karlikowa's husband. He is old and sleeps forever. In total, he appears in 2 episodes.
Ewald
Ewald, played by Krzysztof Respondek , is Bercik's colleague. He has his own music band, with whom he performed in Paris , where he took a cooking course. He once directed a theater in Katowitz .
Hubert Stańczyk
Hubert Stańczyk (Hubercik / Kuzynek Bercik), played by Jan Jakub Skupiński , is the nephew of the Dwornioks, is in the 5th grade and comes from Sosnowitz . In the episode “Gumowe ucho”, German translation: “The rubber ear”, it was said that he was going to the 2nd grade of high school. He's very smart.
