Šlapšilė

Šlapšilė (German Schlappschill ) is a collection of individual goods and farms two kilometers west of Laugaliai in Lithuania . The village belongs to the Dauparai-Kvietiniai District of the Klaipėda Rajong Municipality .

Šlapšilė is located in the former East Prussian area two kilometers west of the former imperial border near Gargždai .

After the expulsion of the German and Lithuanian Minor populations, most of the farms were settled by Russian colonists from the Soviet Union after 1920 . The settlement still had 314 inhabitants in 1925, compared to 119 in 2001.
