1st division (chess) 1999/2000

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1999/2000 season was the 38th season of the 1st division, the top division of the Danish team championship in chess at the time .

The defending champion SK 1934 Nykøbing , the Århus Skakklub , Helsinge Skakklub and Office / 2 Nordre fought a four-way battle for the title, which Nykøbing narrowly won. From the 2nd division, in addition to Helsinge, the Nørresundby Skakklub was promoted and relegated directly. In purely sporting terms, Brønshøj Skakforening would have been relegated second, but since Skakklubben Sydøstfyn (which was only ahead of Brønshøj because of the larger number of team points) withdrew its team, Brønshøj remained in the 1st division. For the reported team squad, see team squad of the 1st division (chess) 1999/2000 .

Game dates

The competitions were held on November 7, 20 and 21, 1999, January 16, 2000, February 6, 2000 and on March 18 and 19, 2000.
