100,000 roofs program

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 100,000 roofs program funded the construction of new photovoltaic systems until the end of 2003. It was part of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) .

history

Between 1999 and 2003, private individuals, freelancers and small to medium-sized enterprises were supported by means of reduced-interest loans from the Reconstruction Loan Corporation . In November 2002 the project had already reached a funding volume of € 1 billion.

The name was based on the 1000 roofs program launched in the early 1990s , with which photovoltaic systems were funded nationwide for the first time in Germany.

The 100,000 roofs program came to an end at the end of 2003, as the limit of 300 MW of installed capacity in new photovoltaic systems was exceeded. To photovoltaic being able to continue to promote the politically desired extent, the EEG, which controls the supply and compensation of the electric energy into the power grid has been adapted according to the year 2003/2004.
