12/88 is the name of an over eight meter high steel sculpture by Erich Hauser in front of the former state central bank building at Moltkestrasse 12 in Heilbronn .
description
The sculpture made of stainless steel opposite the city garden was created in 1988 on the occasion of the new construction of the LZB building according to plans by Klaus Seidel . The sculpture and its dimensions (8.10 × 4.85 × 2.00 meters) correspond to other works by Hauser from the time, the outstanding work of which is the "Steel Angel" from 1987 on the Hanover Sculpture Mile . Later 10/90 in Balingen and 4/96 in Frankfurt am Main were also created in this style .
