20-yard shuttle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 20-yard shuttle ( english 20 yard shuttle, converted 18.29 meters) is a common physical test in American football . It is used to determine the speed in sideways movement, flexibility and speed when starting and stopping. The test can have a significant impact on the overall assessment of a player by coaches and managers. It is common for players to measure this test for all positions.

Explanation

The player starts in a three-point course. When the whistle sounds, the players run to the side five meters and touch the yard line. They then sprint ten yards in the other direction and hit the opposite yard line from which they sprint back onto the start yard line.
