3-way (block cipher)

3-Way is a block cipher that was invented by Joan Daemen in 1994 . It has a block and key length of 96 bits. 3-Way can be done with any number of laps; the developer recommends eleven rounds.

A goal in the development of the block encryption was to enable an efficient implementation in hardware.

In 1997 it was discovered that 3-Way is susceptible to a "related-key attack".
