AJ Moran

AJ Moran (before 1948 - after 1949) was an American filmmaker who was awarded a Class III Oscar at the 1949 Academy Awards .

biography

During his time at Warner Bros. , Electrical Department, Moran developed a process that made it possible to open and close the shutter of a camera for moving images by means of remote control using arc lighting (“for a method of remote control for shutters on motion picture arc lighting equipment ").

At the Academy Awards in 1949 he was awarded an Oscar for this invention in the Oscar category for technical merit .
