ABF (trade fair)
The abf (abbreviation of auto boot freizeit ) is a leisure and shopping fair that has been held every year at the beginning of February at the Hanover Exhibition Center since 1978 . The fair is organized by the specialist exhibition Heckmann GmbH. Until 2014, the theme worlds build + live, active & fit, garden & ambience, Autotage Hanover, caravan & camping and market place were fixed components of the fair. In 2015, the abf was shortened from nine to five days and since then has exclusively covered the leisure topics Travel & Vacation, Active & Fit, Autotage Hannover and Caravanning & Camping. The building and gardening areas have been represented in the BIG - Building, Real Estate, Garden, Furnishing trade fair since 2015 , which has been running parallel to abf since 2017 .

Overall, over 600 exhibitors present their products and services on over 80,000 square meters at the abf . The abf occupies an average of seven halls on the exhibition grounds.
