ACORN (geodemography)

ACORN (Acronym for A Classification Of Residential Neighborhoods ) is the registered trademark of the British branch of CACI for a classification scheme for British households (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). According to its own information, ACORN is the leading tool for classifying customer needs on the basis of geodemographic features. It is used as a basis for marketing activities.

ACORN contains all of the UK's 1.9 million postcodes compiled in over 125 demographic statistics using 287 lifestyle variables.
