The Associação Desportiva Sanjoanense ( port. Sportvereinigung São João), shortly AD Sanjoanense , a sports club of which is Portuguese district town of São João da Madeira .
history
The association was founded in 1924. He rose to the Primeira Divisão for the first time in 1946 . A year later, the team was relegated. 1966 succeeded for the second time promotion to the Primeira Divisão. This time the club stayed in the top division for three years. In the 1967/68 season he reached the second round of the Taça de Portugal .
The club plays its home games at the Estádio Conde Dias Garcia , which has 8500 seats. The sneaker brand Sanjo is named after the club.
