AFNLP

AFNLP ( Asian Federation of Natural Language Processing Associations ) is an organization dedicated to disseminating information about computational linguistics (natural language processing). To this end, the organization establishes contacts in the regions of Asia and beyond, initiates cooperation between research institutions and organizes workshops, conferences and seminars on topics from the field of natural language processing.

The AFNLP was launched on October 4, 2000 .

The official members of the AFNLP are research institutes and other professional institutions involved in natural language processing.

Commissions deal with the distribution of linguistic resources in the region.

Initiatives

Numerous computational linguistics initiatives have been started in Asia at the moment , which are to be seen as part of the opening up of Asia in the course of globalization . This includes:
