AJ126

The AJ126 is a 3.0-liter V6 engine from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) which, after the complete spin-off from Ford, replaces the AJ-V6 that was used to date and is related to the Ford Duratec.

The AJ126 has a displacement of 2,995 cc with a bore of 84.5 mm and a stroke of 89 mm. The cylinder angle is 90 °. The compression is 10.5: 1. All versions of the AJ126 are supercharged and differ in detail, especially in performance.

origin

The AJ126 is basically based on the Jaguar AJ133 V8. Due to the external similarity of the housing and cylinder heads , both engines, i.e. H. Both the V6 and the V8 can be manufactured on one production line, as only minor changes to the tools and processes are necessary. There is no relationship with engines from Ford. The AJ126 replaces the previously used AJ-V6 with a 60 ° cylinder angle in the JLR Group.
