The company Dynastream , a subsidiary of the company Garmin , they developed since 2004 to cost sensors over short distances with evaluation units to connect. Compared to ZigBee , the data rate in burst mode is significantly lower at 20 kB / s. The range is limited to 30 m. Devices require less than 50 mW of power when receiving or transmitting. Since they stay in sleep mode most of the time, the total power consumption is low.
