ASEAN-China Free Trade Area

The ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement , also China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (international name: ASEAN China Free Trade Agreement or China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, also ASEAN China FTA or China ASEAN FTA), is a trade agreement between the People's Republic of China and the members of the East Asian alliance ASEAN to create a free trade area . The agreement entered into force on January 1, 2010. In terms of population, the largest free trade area in the world was created with over 1.8 billion inhabitants, and in terms of economic power the third largest free trade area after the European Union and NAFTA .
