ATS Euro Plus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With ATS euro plus is a standard for search and definition of programs on certain memory locations. In Western Europe in particular , a fixed sequence became necessary during the 1990s due to the extensive expansion of cable networks and the availability of hyperband- enabled TV sets . If several TV sets were operated in a household, manual adjustment was no longer necessary. If you agreed to the set order of the channels, you could, for example, operate a television set in both the living room and the bedroom. The numbering did not play a role if you preferred your own program assignments, but you could also keep the original storage and did not have to reorient yourself with the various receiving devices. This resulted in great time savings, especially when changing over within the cable network operator, since the (renewed) triggering of the ATS Euro Plus procedure was sufficient to find all channel assignments.
