Apprenticeship time securities

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The training time security , AZWP for short , is part of the Hartz concept and guarantees the owner professional training . It is personal and specific and is intended to combat youth unemployment .

financing

The financing of the security is voluntary. There is a system of discount cards, government grants, contributions to a capital stock from foundations and measures. The realization is carried out by local foundations.

Aims of the AZWP

The AZWP is intended to finance as well as to create in-company and external training positions for young people with special needs and to reduce unemployment among young people.

This need for support often has various causes:

  • insufficient schooling, often without a school leaving certificate
  • lack of integration of immigrant people, lack of language skills

For this purpose, 50 to 100% of the costs of the apprenticeship are covered.

Limits of the AZWP

In structurally weak regions, there is usually a lack of suitable training positions. The subsidized training cannot or only partially remove the obstacles that led to the young people's unemployment. Often the program is not sufficiently integrated into other measures that it only combats the problem of youth unemployment to a limited extent.
