Admiral Abdelkader Perez

Hadj Abdelkader Perez was a Moroccan admiral and ambassador to the United Kingdom in 1723 and 1737 . On August 29, 1724 he met the English King George I. The prefix " Hadj " shows that he took part in the Hajj , the pilgrimage to Mecca . In addition, the family name Perez indicates a possible descent from expelled moriscos from Spain.
