Abihud is mentioned in the 1st book of the chronicles . He was a great-grandson of Jacob , grandson of Jacob's youngest son Benjamin and son of Benjamin's eldest son Bela .
Abihud in the New Testament
In the second part of the Holy Scriptures, the New Testament, there is a second Abihud in the Gospel according to Matthew . Here he is listed in the family tree of Jesus , the son of a man named Zerubbabel and the father of Eliakim . Abihud lived about 500 years before the birth of Christ.
