Cooling parameters

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The cooling parameter is a metallurgy term .

It describes the time it takes to cool steel from 800 to 500 ° C, in units of hectoseconds . The specification = 36 means that the cooling from 800 to 500 ° C took about 36 hs = 3600 s = 1 h. The cooling parameter is mainly used in the heat treatment of tool steels .
