The Wadden Sea Agreement (Agreement on the Conservation of Seals in the Wadden Sea) is a multilateral environmental agreement based on the Bonn Convention . The agreement was the first regional agreement within the Bonn Convention. It was signed on October 16, 1990 and came into force on October 1, 1991. Other regional agreements were adopted in the same way. The agreement aims to ensure the conservation of the seal population in the Wadden Sea .

The signatory states are Denmark , Germany and the Netherlands .
