Abram Petrovich Schterenberg

Abram Petrowitsch Schterenberg (* 1894 in Jitomir , † 1978 or 1979) was a Russian photographer.

Life

Schterenberg learned photography very early on and began doing commissioned work. After the First World War he worked in B. Kapustianski's studio in Tashkent . Then he decided to go to Moscow, to see his brother, the famous painter Dawid Petrovich Schterenberg . In 1927 he contributed about 50 photos to the exhibition “Ten Years of Soviet Photography”.

Abram Schterenberg worked for the agencies Russfoto, Unionfoto and Soyuzfoto. He was also a member of the Oktjabr group. After the Second World War, he took photos for the Novosti press agency .
