Rounding is a manufacturing process in which an edge of a workpiece is rounded, mainly in woodwork. The tool used here is an edge milling machine or a router , each with a corresponding milling cutter . Rounding off is used to protect against injuries and to facilitate insertion into other workpieces.

An alternative edge processing is to provide an edge with a bevel .
