Suction fleece

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A bleeder is an absorbent nonwoven that absorbs the emerging resin when the fiber composite materials (laminate) are pressed in a vacuum and thus enables a laminate with the highest possible fiber volume . It also serves to transport the excess air and distribute the pressure evenly.

Layer structure from the inside out:

  • Laminating core / shape
  • Fiber layer / layers
  • Perforated film
  • Suction fleece (nonwoven fabric)
  • Vacuum foil or flexible counter-form

The negative pressure must not be too high, as otherwise the fabric of the resin trap is compressed too much and the resin can no longer be picked up.
