Absolute force

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The absolute force corresponds to the maximum force that the neuromuscular system can exert against a resistance. The absolute force is made up of the arbitrary maximum force and the so-called autonomously protected power reserves.

Basics

The force to be applied at will is called the maximum force. However, the neuromuscular system is able to produce higher forces than is arbitrarily possible. These power reserves, which cannot be called up arbitrarily, are referred to as autonomously protected reserves.
