The Acheron language (also called garme , ISO 639-3 is acz) is one of the four Tocho languages within the Kordofan language group , which are spoken in the Sudanese province of Kordofan, south of the Nuba Mountains .
The speakers of the Tagoi are increasingly assimilated by the Arabic-speaking majority society, so the number of Acheron speakers is vanishingly small.
There are two dialects, one western and one eastern.
