Actual time of arrival

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Actual Time of Arrival (short ATA ; English for actual arrival time ) in contrast to the estimated time of arrival (expected arrival time) actually taking place of arrival of a means of transport ( ship , aircraft ...) at the specified target.

While the ETA can be determined in advance, the ATA can logically only be specified immediately before or upon arrival. This is because events that are difficult to predict (e.g. storms , traffic jams, etc.) cannot easily be included in the estimated arrival time.
