Adam Davies (* 1971 in Louisville , Kentucky ) is an American writer .

Life

Davies graduated from Syracuse University and then accepted a position as an assistant editor at Random House in New York. He then became a lecturer in English literature at the University of Georgia and the Savannah College of Art & Design.

His debut novel The Frog King , published in 2002, is the story of a man whose life has gone completely apart. Out of love for a woman, he manages to get his life back under control. Froschkönig became a bestseller and was also translated into German. The book is currently being made into a film based on the script by Bret Easton Ellis . His second novel Goodbye Lemon , the story of a dysfunctional family, was published in the USA in 2006 and in German in 2008. In 2010, the third novel Dein oder mein ( Mine all mine ) was published in Germany.
