Adaptive stability program

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The adaptive stability program is an extension of the electronic stability program (ESP), which is mainly used in trucks , mobile homes and small vans .

This is a stability program that detects the weight and the current load status of the vehicle and should therefore also keep vehicles with a higher center of gravity safely on track.

LAC (Load Adaptive Control)

In addition, the LAC adaptive load control not only records the total weight while driving, but also the distribution of the load and the resulting center of gravity of the vehicle. The response behavior of the anti-lock braking system , traction control and the electronic stability program is constantly adjusted to these values. Integrated into this system is the engine drag torque control (MSR), which prevents the front wheels (front-wheel drive) from locking for a short time in the event of an abrupt downshift, as well as the mechanical brake assistant (MBA), which supports the driver during emergency braking.
