As a hooked nose , colloquially called Adlernase (rare: aquiline nose ), a nose denoted by a bump on the bridge of the nose and a downturned nose. The common name is based on the similarity of this nose shape with the beak of an eagle . The term hump nose is used medically .

If such a nose shape is considered a blemish , plastic surgery can be used to fix the bridge of the nose and lift the tip of the nose as part of a rhinoplasty .
