Adobe Animate CC (formerly Adobe Flash Professional ) is an animation software from the manufacturer Adobe Inc. , which to create content for the Adobe Engagement Platform is used.

history

Adobe Animate / Adobe Flash Professional is the successor to FutureSplash Animator published in 1996 , a program that is intended for creating vector graphics and vector animation. The program was developed by FutureWave Software and has been ported to the Windows and macOS operating systems. FutureSplash animation technology has been used on many reputable websites including MSN , the official Simpsons website, and some Walt Disney Company websites . In December 1996, FutureWave Software was bought by Macromedia and renamed Macromedia Flash. Adobe Systems acquired Macromedia in 2005.

The primary output format of Adobe Flash Professional was SWF files viewed with the Flash player.

Current

In November 2015 the software was renamed by Adobe to Animate CC (Creative Cloud) , with which HTML5 and Flash animations can now be created on an equal footing.
