Adventius

Adventius († August 31, 875 in Metz ) was bishop of Metz from 858 to 875 . In 863 he reorganized the situation at Gorze Abbey . On September 9, 869 he crowned Charles the Bald in Metz and subsequently became one of his key advisors. In 870 Adventius founded the Neumünster Abbey near Ottweiler . He was buried in Gorze Abbey.
