Aelius Tertius

Aelius Tertius (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd or 3rd century AD .

An inscription on an altar found at Brocolitia Castle shows that Tertius was prefect of the Cohors I Batavorum in the 2nd or 3rd century , which was stationed in the province of Britannia at that time . He dedicated the altar to the goddess Coventina .
