Agatha Award / Amelia Prize
The Amelia Prize (English Amelia Award ) is a special prize of the Agatha Awards , which is awarded by Malice Domestic Ltd. American literary prizes awarded. The prize in this category has been awarded irregularly since 2012. It is dedicated to Amelia Peabody , the detective of Elizabeth Peters' thriller set in Egypt . The author, whose real name is Barbara Mertz and was a founding member and chairwoman of Malice Domestic , was the first recipient of the award.
