Aghios Panteleimon (Myrtou)

The convent Aghios Panteleimon of Myrtou ( Greek Μοναστήρι Αγίου Παντελεήμονα στη Μύρτου Turkish Panteleemon Manastırı, Çamlıbel ) in Kyrenia District ( district Girne ) in Cyprus is a former Greek Orthodox convent that the Hl. Pantaleon is dedicated.

The monastery is said to have been founded in the 11th century, the structures that have been preserved date from the 16th and 17th centuries. The monastery has not been in use since the Turkish occupation of Northern Cyprus in 1974.

The monastery was restored in 2015 by the Technical Committee for Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Cyprus . The committee hired Cypriots from both parts of the divided island.
