The agricultural newspaper (own spelling: agrarzeitung ) is a weekly agricultural specialist newspaper. The publisher is the publishing group Deutscher Fachverlag . It appears weekly on Fridays and is supplemented by an online offer as well as smartphone and iPad apps.

The newspaper will appear in its 74th year in 2018. In 2009 the name was changed from food service to agrarzeitung . According to IVW, the sold circulation in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was 4,098 copies. The distribution focuses on the German-speaking trading area.

The agrarzeitung honors innovative ideas from young farmers with the “Agricultural Promotion Prize”. The “Agricultural Entrepreneur of the Year” prize has also been awarded annually since 2014.
