Ahtna

Ahtna or Ahtena is the Na-Dene language of the ethnic group of Ahtna in the area of Copper River in Alaska . The language is also known as the Copper River or Mednowski . Out of 500 people, an estimated 80 still speak this language. The speakers have to deal with the extinction of their language. There are efforts to encourage young people to learn the language in order to keep the idiom from going out.
