Akçay (Edremit)

Akçay is a district of the small town of Edremit in the Turkish province of Balıkesir, about 8 km away . It lies on the Gulf of Edremit , also known as Olive Riviera known, bordering the highway E 87 at.

The locality is mainly characterized by domestic tourism, which has been promoted in Turkey through appropriate programs since the 1950s. Akçay has several thermal springs. The townscape is determined by summer residences.
