Akai MPC 1000
The Akai MPC 1000 is a hardware sequencer with a built-in sampler manufactured by the Japanese company Akai . In contrast to its predecessors, the MPC 1000 is the first truly portable device. In addition to the usual features, most of which have been taken over from the other MPCs, the 1000 already has six analog outputs by default, but these cannot be expanded. An S / PDIF In / Out interface is also integrated from the factory. The 16 MB RAM can be upgraded to 128 MB.
At the beginning of 2005 the OS 1.07 was released, which mainly brought improvements in the timing area. For the end of 2005, Akai announced an operating system with the previously missing functions, such as timestretch, zoning, etc.
There is also a constantly updated alternative operating system from Japanese developers that implements many functions of the larger MPCs as well as completely new functions.
