The Akai MPC 3000 is a hardware sequencer with a built-in sampler . It was launched in 1994 and was the last MIDI Production Center (MPC) to be created in collaboration with Roger Linn .

The sample format of the MPC 3000 is 16 bit / 44.1 kHz linear. The special features of the 3000 model include a digital S / PDIF input, 10 jack outputs (6.3 mm) and 2 midi inputs as well as 4 midi outputs. In addition, the MPC 3000 has a SCSI - interface for connecting external hard drives , Zip drives and other similar storage media. The memory of the MPC 3000 can be upgraded to up to 32 MB. The IB-CRT VGA Expansion allows an external monitor to be connected.

There is also a special model called Akai MPC 3000LE . In contrast to the normal MPC 3000, this is painted black and fully equipped ex works. It was released in 2000 and was limited to 2000 pieces.
