Accumulation (stock exchange)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Accumulation (also topping up ) is an investment strategy that is based on holding a security position and, if necessary, buying in at more favorable prices.

When a financial analyst recommends accumulating a security , he is expressing that, in his opinion, the security will perform as well or better than the overall market associated with the security.

The recommendation to accumulate is an intermediate step between buying (good valuation) and holding (neutral valuation).
